"Budget"? It appears that you have all of the most expensive boxes...;)

Here is where I am going. I'll try not to fly sideways though.

I'm trying to keep things simple with my panel. Should have everything I need to fly Day & Night VFR with reasonable cross-country legs.
Not pictured:
Dual USB jack for power/charging (will be mounted just below the panel)
Headset jacks (will be mounted behind the shoulder)
Transponder (mounted in aft fuselage, controlled by iEFIS)
Throttle & mixture (mounted on Sonex throttle quadrant, above flap detents)

Noel, have you thought about mounting your ELT remote switch behind the pax like your headset? I found it saves panel space and is still accessible.

Looks good Noel! The modern panels are very space efficient when thought out. My panel is a hodgepodge of stuff I had, plus I bought a G meter and turn coordinator. I have less than $2K in mine, the bulk of it in the KX155.
One nice thing about center controls, it will be easy to mount my Anson Engineering vents to either side. I am going to let them blow up from underneath.
There are a couple typos in there. Too many r's in cooordinator and I plan on a 10A breaker for the ignition per the plans.
I bought my lighter plugs from the aviation aisle at Farm & Fleet.

I think the KISS method works. My panels has the MGL Enigma and I like it but the interface is too clunky in my opinion. I think a simple engine monitor and some steam would've been just fine for the flying I do.
If I were to put a USB Jack in, I'm thinking of mounting a USB plug in the top of the panel so I can plug my ipad/GPS/ADSB reciever in so the cords don't hang down in front.

That's the Surface to Air Missile Alert system!
Actually, it is the ELT remote panel.
