Good afternoon fella aviators.

I am new to this forum and this particular airplane design. I recently purchased a Onex tail kit. I have been flying a Kolb Firestar KXP these past two years and decided to go ahead and get back into an aluminum fuselage that will take me a little farther and faster. I look forward to the frustrations and the reward to building. I am sure I will ping the group with questions so I appreciate the help as needed.

Hope to meet folks along the way.

Welcome to the board David. I hope you enjoy the build on your Onex. I'm sure you'll love the airplane after it's flying. Please keep us up to date on how the build progresses, as well as any questions you may run into.

If you're in TN, perhaps you can make it to Crossville for the American Sonex Association fly in, here in October!

Mike,
I have the Crossville fly-in on my calendar. I intend to be there.

Hello David,

I too am a new forum member and recent Sonex owner (just received kit#1629 yesterday).

Curious is the "AIA" after your signature for American Institue of Architects? I am also an architect and know the initials behind the name very well if that is what they represent.

Welcome to the aluminum building madness!

Hey Scott,

Yes - I am a starving architect and a member of the AIA. My tail assembly is scheduled to be shipped and delivered the week of 2 September 2013. I am looking forward to some head scratching and metal maddness.
