Hi guys,

I have been on the Yahoo groups forum for a while now and just happened to find this forum. I definately like this more standard forum better than the Yahoo type. After doing some reading I am definately going to spend some time here.

A little about me. I am plans building so my progress would probably be considered slow since I work on this at a leisurely rate with my son but we both really enjoy it. So far, I am about 75% through forming all of the wing ribs and have some of the wing spar metal plate ordered and a SNX-W10-02 to use as a master pattern for the rest.

I am ordering metal at a rate close to what I use and plan on picking up some angle soon.

I can't wait to get finished and join the guys who have built their own airplane, whether plans or kit built, it's got to be surreal to fly in a plane that you built.

If anyone is interested, my kitlog is here. Theres not a lot to look at yet but when I start making other parts I'll put it on there.

Anyway, I wanted to say hi and wish all of my fellow and future builders well and success.

Welcome to the party Darron! I sure have a lot of respect for anyone who is building from plans; I could never build with that much accuracy or with that much patience!

And yes, you are correct; it's an awesome feeling to fly your creation for the first time. Hopefully you can continue making good progress and have your Sonex up in the air soon!
