I'm ready to make WXB-W14-03 Web spacer for the rib to main spar and the center spacer W14-02. I'm pretty sure that I'm supposed to cut 03 from the aluminum sheet I have but the 03 center spacer says aluminum plate. The question is whether I cut it from the 6X12 aluminum plate I have or chop a strip of aluminum bar that I have that is already 1/2" wide and is .125 thickness, the same as the 6X12? The bar stock would definitely be easier as long as I'm not using something I'll need later.

Going from memory - this was along time ago - the thicker spacers came from bar stock cut to length, but the thinner spacers required ripping them from larger sheets cut to length and width.

I also used the 1/2" by 1/8" bar stock that came with my kit for -02 Center Spacers. Worked well and there was just enough left over to make one or two extra in case I messed up. Paul

Thanks guys. I got impatient to get going and couldn't find anywhere else that would require long pieces of the bar stock so I chopped it into 20 short pieces and had maybe 7 inches extra. It looks good and was much easier. I guess I will have to rip the other spacers but it's much thinner, shouldn't be too bad.
