Paul ,I cut mine on my table saw.You have to go slowly but I guarantee it will work great.I used an 80 tooth blade simply because that's all I have. For drilling the holes scroll down the page to my comments and pic's
http://www.onexmike.org/ailerons-and-flaps.htmlDo not try to drill all the way through from one side .
Cheers

I cut mine on a band saw. Lead tends to fill saw teeth and drill bits so go slow and back out and clear the lead as needed. The next time I saw lead I'll freeze it overnight to see if it cuts better.

Try my tips and tricks on my a Expercraft builders log. Easiest way to find my log is to search Light Earth Aviation. A judicious use of tool Lub/coolant worked for me.

I made a clay mold, melted the lead in an iron bowl on a propane camp stove in the back yard. Came out fine.
